We now have a new and improved Millennium Centre website that covers the work of the Caherconlish Caherline Community Council. https://www.caherconlish.net 


Millennium Centre Playground The playground will be open every day  from 10am to 6pm. There are restrictions in place that will be reviewed and adjusted going forward. Parents or guardians are required to: To bring their own hand sanitiser for the cleaning of their children’s hands before, and at regular intervals during and after use of the playground equipment. In the absence of such sanitation parents or guardians are requested to refrain from allowing their children use of the equipment. To ensure physical distancing between children. To advise children to avoid touching their face, eyes, nose, and mouth. To ensure children under your care have regard to the safe use of equipment and to the safety of others at all times. To adhere to the most up to date health advice. Please respect the restrictions in place and we cannot allow unsupervised children i.e. under 18's to be on the grounds and will take steps to ensure compliance.


Tennis courts The tennis courts are open to members only. Please ring the Millennium Centre to book a slot. Keys must then be collected and dropped back to the Millennium Centre after each session. The toilets and clubhouse remain closed. Please bring and use hand sanitizer.  Please keep 2m distance from other players

Caherline GAA club lotto : No winner, numbers drawn were 4, 6, 17 & 22. Lucky dip winners were Fr. Currivan, Bríd Hickey, Ger O'Connell, Seán McCarthy, and Aoife & Rachel. Next week jackpot will be €5,500 and the draw will be held on Friday night via Facebook Live from the Caherline clubhouse from 9:30pm. As always, we appreciate everyone's support. Tickets are on sale in Ryans XL shop, the Post Office and from the usual promoters. JUNIOR B HURLING: Junior B action on Thursday September 3rd, away to Ballybricken-Bm, throw-in at 6:45pm. MINOR HURLING: played  Knockaderry and lost on a scoreline of Knockaderry 3-22 Caherline 4-15. U-16 HURLING: Our U-16's are out  next Monday , August 31st, away to Garryspillane, throw-in at 7pm.U-14 HURLING: played Knockainey side last Wednesday Final score Knockainey 6-14, Caherline 4-04. Next up, we welcome Hospital-Herbertstown on September 3rd, throw-in at 7pm.U-12 HURLING: Our U-12's return to action next Thursday, September 3rd, in Caherconlish against Dromin-Athlacca  at 6:45pm.U-11 HURLING: Our U-11's travel to Clarina on Sunday evening, throw-in at 6pm.U-8 HURLING: welcome Pallasgreen to our field on Saturday morning, throw-in at 10:30am.


Crafty Angels: Sewing group classes every Monday  10.00am -12.00pm.


Pilates4All: In the Millennium Centre, outside Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights at 7.30pm. Classes will be in the large function room allowing for social distancing. Each participant MUST have their own mat, bands, ball, water etc. This procedure will continue under the current climate. Class numbers are restricted as per guidelines & there are limited spaces available . To avoid disappointment booking is recommended .

Parish Notes

CAHERLINE CHURCH open for Mass 10am Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Sunday. Prayer 10.30am - 4pm daily.  Caherline closed the other three days.


CAHERCONLISH CHURCH open for Mass 10am Thursday, Friday & Saturday.   Sunday Mass 11am. No vigil Mass on Saturday evening. Caherconlish church closed the other three days.


NB -  (6.30pm Saturday Mass resumes on 5th September/ no morning Mass)


Big “Thank You” to all our Volunteers who are involved as Ushers as we come to Mass, clean, tidy and sanitize the building, open and close the church each day, organising the scheduling, Communion etc. -  enabling us to come to church safely etc.


Another Big “Thank You” to all the parishioners who have made donations in recent weeks to help pay the bills and to St. Laurence Cemetery fund.   The Sunday “Basket Collection” is replaced by donation boxes at the back door to the Churches.


We ask people to continue to wear masks.

We encourage people to come to Mass during the weekdays to avoid big numbers at the weekend. You fulfil your obligation to attend Mass in these times by attending any Mass during the week. Communion can only be distributed on the hands in line with current Covid-19 Guidelines.


Adherence to social distancing guidelines is paramount, as are hand hygiene measures.


BACK TO SCHOOL: We wish all our students and teachers a safe return as they return to School this week after a long break.  Well done to both Principals and teachers who have been working so hard over the past weeks to ensure that their schools are able to open safely adhering to the Covid guidelines and procedures.


BAPTISMS have resumed.  It is important to fill out the form and return it before your date can be confirmed by the Baptismal Team

ALONE manage a national support line and additional supports for older people who have concerns or are facing difficulties relating to the outbreak of COVID-19. Professional staff available to answer queries and give advice and reassurance where necessary. The support line is open seven days a week, 8am - 8pm, by calling 0818 222 024.


Caherconlish GAA Football Club: Underage training Tuesday evening with U8 up to U12 training, It is important for everyone to complete the E-learning module and the Health Check. You can find then on the GAA website, GAA.IE. Training will continue for these age groups every Tuesday evening. U 8 played a blitz last Saturday v Ballybricken, in Ballybricken. U16 Footballers played Blackrock in the second round of the Championship at Caherconlish last Monday evening. Caherconlish  won on a score line 7:09 to 0:04.  Caherconlish Junior B team played last year County finalist Knockane last Tuesday 18th August in Knockane. It was a huge thing for the club after an absence of 16 years from adult grade. There has been a big emphasis in the club on underage over the last ten years or more, and that’s why we are now seeing an adult team emerge . Knockane won on the day with a score line 2:11 to Caherconlish 0:12. Junior B played there second game on last Saturday evening at home to Ballybricken/Bohermore, and lost on a score line of 5-6 to 7pts .U18 play their first match on Friday evening at home V Athea. Fundraising Old Clothes Collection. We would like to thank everyone who helped out with our clothes collection fundraiser . Thank you to everyone who donated clothes. Yours support is greatly appreciated. All funds raised goes into the running of the club. We will be having another one later in the year.
